Although she made dressing in jackets and trousers fashionable almost 100 years ago, she also created glamorous gowns. This almost looks like a wedding dress:

There are elements from this dress that simply beg for an update. I really like the softness of the collar. The layers of ruffles are a bit too much, and maybe the sleeves and bodice could be redone as a jacket. But, this dress from the 1930′s is inspiring….
